Integration overview

We are pleased to share the news that a new third party integration is now available for Xplan users. 

This is a custom integration, built by Iress, and connecting to the SmartSearch API, as opposed to being a Standard Third Party Integration.  This integration will connect your Xplan to your existing SmartSearch account and is offered as a free service for Iress Clients.

The 'switch on' differs from the usual self enablement pattern and while in pilot you should refer to your Account Manager in the first instance.

Integration summary

SmartSearch is a leading provider of anti-money laundering (AML) and digital compliance solutions in the UK. They offer a platform that helps businesses comply with AML regulations, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks. SmartSearch's platform is used by over 7,000 client firms and 55,000 users.

The UK AML check is the first of SmartSearch’s products that Iress have integrated with and this will allow you to securely send client information, perform a check and store the output in Xplan without the need to re-key data and without the need to copy & paste PII

This integration connects your Xplan user account to your existing SmartSearch account enabling efficient and secure transmission of the PII data required to AML check your prospect or client.  The score is then send back to Xplan, added as a Document note and - importantly - stored as an immutable record in the Xplan EID&V history.

There is no need for a new contract with SmartSearch if you already have one in place,  nor do you need to sign up to a new agreement with Iress.

Simple, efficient and reducing risk.

IMPORTANT NOTE - This integration is available for firms on multi-tenanted sites i.e. Iress Essentials clients, Dealer Groups and Networks.  To get connected you need to speak to your local site administrator.

Setup instructions

Currently this integration is in pilot - so there will be no tile in the Iress Open Page in Xplan and Iress will configure your site and enable the integration on your behalf.  For the time being please contact your Account Manager if you would like to get connected.
