Learn how to:
Set initial terms
Video Summary:
- Within your Mortgage quote, in the requirements section, you can set an Initial Term between two dates, e.g. 3 to 5 years.
- Click source to run the results and you will see the initial term indicated in the results.
- If you wish to amend the initial term within the sourcing results, go to the Loan Details area in the left hand pane and amend the Initial Term.
- Click Source at the bottom of the pane to amend the sourcing results based on the new amended filter.
Set sourcing preferences
Video Summary:
- Within your Sourcing results, click on More Options on the top right.
- There you can access Sourcing Preferences such as removing Lenders names or logos, default sorting etc.
- Click Save to lock in the change.
Include 'total to pay'
Video Summary:
- Within your Quote Requirements screen, you can set the Total to Pay over before Sourcing.
- Within the results, go to Loan Details if you wish to amend.
- You can also see the Total to Pay as a column of data within the sourcing results and can sort by this column.
- Total to Pay options are also available via the Edit icon, Preferences and Filters, Total to Pay options
Use our Mortgage Calculators
No sound
Video Summary:
- When in the Sourcing Results screen, in the left hand pane at the bottom, is an option called Calculators.
- This defaults to the Overpayment Calculator but also includes Term Changes, Rate Changes and Payment Mixes.
- You can add further filters to the calculation, view the data by chart or by table and even print an illustration of the returned data.
How to include fees
No sound
Video Summary:
- When in the Sourcing results screen, select More Options on the top right, then Include Fees.
- Xplan Mortgage will provide you with some guidance for fees before clicking Save.
- The fees will now show in the results and you can Exclude fees by following the same process above.
Further guidance
From the main Xplan Mortgage dashboard select Mortgage quote and populate the screen with the required information and press Source.
NB: If you have an existing requirement, click on it to produce the sourcing results.
Select the product that you are choosing and go through to the illustrations page.
Select Generate documents
After selecting generate documents choose Product fees from the left column. This will display the screen below.
On the right next to the fees an Add to loan tick box will appear and this is where you can add fees to the loan.
NB: This tick box will only show if the product allows you to add fees to the loan.
Compare requirements and products
Video Summary:
- Within the Sourcing screen, choose two or more of the returned quotes.
- Once selected, click on the Product Comparison tab at the top of the results screen.
- This will show each lenders quote key information side by side which each other for comparison.
- You can also compare Quote Requirements and sourcing results quickly and easily by going to More Options, add Comparison Requirement, set the information for the new requirement and source. Clicking More Options will allow you to switch quickly between the two.
