Overview
What is the Letter Generator v23.10?
Following user feedback, the Letter Generator wizard has been changed to a scenario wizard allowing:
- multiple users to work on a single letter
- multiple letters to be worked on simultaneously
- provide a visual audit trail of letter communication
- locking functions on a scenario
Key Features
Enhancements
For users on ThreeSixty, Xplan Central, XplanCentral1 and XplanCentral2 a further enhancement has led to certain fields being removed from the wizard and set once at firm level.
This will reduce the number of questions a user has to answer on each letter, generally 19, reduced to 9 and ensuring all users generate consistent outputs in line with your firm's chosen format.
The Heading section will change

- Mark as Private and Confidential?
3 fields removed:
- Do you want to include your logo?
- Logo alignment
- Do you want your address to appear on the letter?
The Signature Block will change

6 fields removed:
- Do you want to use the standard letter signature?
- Do you want to include a signature image?
- Do you want to display qualifications?
- Do you want to display the senders job title at the bottom of the signature?
- Do you want to display the senders contact details at the bottom of the signature?
- Do you want to display the company name at the bottom of the signature?
The Footer section will no longer exist:

- Do you want to display an image in the footer?
- Footer image alignment
The following fields are set once at firm level:
Heading Section

The defaults will be set as follows:
If you would like Iress to amend the above default settings please notify us via the Iress Connect portal link using the Essentials Site Services tile and select Letter generator options. Note that you may have to click "Show more portals" to see our tile:

Fixes:
- Plan title layout improved, commas removed, hyphen between plan type and owner
- Blank rows and ‘None’ removed if user data doesn’t exist
- Strictly Private & Confidential changed to Private & Confidential
- Extra blank row after Private & Confidential and before address title
- The sender address will always be displayed when the sender is a client/partner/joint
- Automatic hyphenation removed from template (Best practice: not to use fully justified text alignment)
