Did you know you can now use Xmerge to break down WealthSolver tables by specific plan types like Super versus Pension, or dynamically group them when you run out of column space?
Why? Advisers and paraplanners told us that aggregated fee tables don't always give the clear, side-by-side detail clients need when comparing specific account structures.
On the flip side, creating individual tables for every plan type used to mean dealing with overly crowded layouts and too many columns.
We updated the Merge Syntax so you have direct control over how plans are split or grouped across your advice document tables, including Fee Comparisons.
How? To split plans across distinct tables, use the expanded filtering options in your syntax. For example, to isolate superannuation plans into their own table:
<:=ss.compare_fees_table(ss.client_model.get_plans(plan_types=["super"])):>
To keep tables readable without manual tweaking, use the new get_plans_grouped function. This automatically groups plan types together whenever column limits are hit:
- Retirement Grouping: Dynamically consolidates 'super' and 'pension' into a single "Retirement" column.
- Investment Grouping: Dynamically consolidates 'platform' and 'asset' into an "Investment" column.
š”Because get_plans_grouped is a general function, you aren't restricted to using it on fee tables alone. You can apply it across various platform tables in your SOA templates to stop wide tables from breaking your page margins while still keeping the output clear for the client.
