Will the SMA Advance Search Functionality require vendors to have the boosted SMA features as part of their datafeed?

Our Test sites are on .484 and my user has the valid capabilities - how do we get access to the new Risk Rating pages?

Is there any timeline on when there will be other products to compare to in the Retirement Income solution?

Will there be any enhancements made to the coding of the Retirement Income solution so that we can use this as part of our Advice Documents?

For the client portal, how is Iress looking to simplify the Client Login experience and MFA?

For the client portal, will the project include uplift in the fact find and risk profile questionnaire in the Client Portal and if so will there be any enhancements to allow for customisation to allow the fact find to align with our fact find in Xplan?

Just trying to get an understanding when the online Fact Find would be available?
Roadmap talks about UX Uplift & Mobile responsiveness in H2 but does not share much details. Would it still be a basic data collection or are we looking at a comprehensive data collection tool?

A few things guys:

There remains a disconnect between WealthSolver and IPS. Different data sets, different assumption settings, different models, different modelling UI. Parts of using IPS is superior to WealthSolver, but all the detailed fee data sits in WealthSolver. Are there plans to blend these and make using WealthSolver a more intuitive modelling experience like the Portfolios > Recommend screen already is? We don't bother with WealthSolver due to it being harder to use than simply modelling in the Portfolio screen.

Competitors have created advice construction tools that are intuitive SOA wizards. Are there plans to improve this advice construction process (the biggest time sink) by better connecting the various modules and assisting advisers with easier self-edit wizards and allowing for easy code/no-code templates without resorting to expensive consultants or your own paid out-of-the-box templates? Will you bring AI into the advice construction process?

Being able to produce visually appealing digital advice presentations is also high on the wish list (see Advice Designer). Is this on the agenda?

While you have added wealthsolver cloning, this only appears to help if there is an existing plan, but does it let you clone a proposed plan? i.e. new client setting up new identical portfolios across more than one entity.

Lastly, will you bring calculations like tax payable to Client Focus (cash flow) like other Finplan CRMs do?

Will the SMA Advance Search Functionality require vendors to have the boosted SMA features as part of their datafeed?

We would like to clarify what is meant by “boosted SMA features”? If a transaction includes a sub-portfolio code or sub-account provided by the vendor, it can be identified as an SMA, and users can utilise SMA Advanced Search in Xplan. Similarly, if the data feed explicitly flags a transaction as an SMA, this information is sufficient to support SMA Advanced Search functionality.

Our Test sites are on .484 and my user has the valid capabilities - how do we get access to the new Risk Rating pages?

The new risk rating page was released as part of version .483. Please ensure the capability is enabled. If you still experience any issues, please reach out to our support team.

Is there any timeline on when there will be other products to compare to in the Retirement Income solution?

We are in active discussions with providers in the market, and progress is dependent on their support and alignment with the solution. Ideally, we aim to onboard at least one additional product into the solution before the end of the year.

Will there be any enhancements made to the coding of the Retirement Income solution so that we can use this as part of our Advice Documents?

There is existing syntax available to display asset allocation breakdowns into individual asset classes. This functionality is currently accessible within the Retirement Income proposal type onscreen.

We are also working on expanding the syntax library to support the extraction of individual data points. If you require assistance with coding advice documents, please reach out to your account manager.

For the client portal, how is Iress looking to simplify the Client Login experience and MFA?

We’re improving the Client Portal login process by moving to a global email-based identity (similar to IressID). To ensure a smooth transition, this will be a phased rollout.

Once enabled for a specific portal instance, end clients will experience a soft transition on their next login, allowing them to use their email or social login. To further streamline the experience, they will also gain access to modern authentication methods like passkeys, biometrics, and authenticator apps.

We're building a completely new fact find and integrated risk profiling. Custom fields are something we are considering how to include while keeping the fact find process as intuitive as possible for consumers.

At this stage of development we're looking at around early November but if you’re interested in participating in early testing let us know.

There's a few parts to this question. In this initial phase, Client Portal UX uplift is about updating the navigation menu layout, making things easier to find.

At the same time, each of the pages are being reviewed for potential layout tweaks and content loading optimisations and ensuring content displays appropriately on mobile devices ahead of a broader content uplift.

For the fact find, we are building a completely new fact find with integrated risk profiling to allow for comprehensive data collection, but in a more intuitive way for consumers.

Some of these changes will roll-out automatically behind the scenes (e.g. page speed and mobile responsive updates are working their way out to all sites in the coming weeks) and others where the end consumer experience changes we’ll be communicating well in advance and working with clients to enable.

With the AI tools (data findability), meeting tools etc. Will these be rolled out as part of current licensing or will there be an increased cost or levels?

For the Meeting follow up "transcript" is this meaning meetings would be held inside xPlan so it transcribe the meeting and makes notes like Zoom or Teams does? Or, is this still done externally and it would like a file note from the meeting?

What happened to XBI? Will enhanced reporting for part of the new Adviser Workspaces or is this just on hold until a later date?

Do you plan on releasing a new version on the Outlook Plugin as an exe file? A lot of companies are unable to load an .msi file as apps are blocked but .exe files can be reviewed and loaded by local IT.

Hi @michael.ryan — Yes absolutely, reviewing the end to end advice process is on our agenda once this initial phase is completed.

Will you bring calculations like tax payable to Client Focus (cash flow) like other Finplan CRMs do?

Not at this stage, but a good suggestion and one that is regularly requested. Client Focus has traditionally focused on presenting factual data rather than calculated outputs; however, we do already have the Contribution Cap element in place, which includes automated Personal Concessional and Non-Concessional Cap calculations based on the underlying contribution data. We are currently looking at uplifting key pages in the client record, including cashflow and balance sheet views. I’ll keep this in mind to extend the capability with this additional level of detail.

There is currently work underway to explore how IPS and WealthSolver can be more tightly integrated, and we will take this into consideration as part of the review.

Will you bring AI into the advice construction process?
Getting the tools to be more connected and easy to use is absolutely on our agenda.

Yes, we do allow cloning to a proposed plan. Please see the details here: WealthSolver cloning feature.

Good to hear there is work underway to explore better integrating IPS and Wealthsolver.

Regarding the wealthsolver cloning, I can't seem to find any way to clone a proposed investment portfolio within the same proposal. Cloning a proposed portfolio is a feature I wish was also available in IPS. I would expect many advisers would wish the same - when we create a portfolio for a client we may be creating the same weighted portfolio across super and outside super or in different entities. Currently in Xplan you have to re-add all the same funds and weightings again for each new portfolio you are creating. Very frustrating and could easily be resolved by adding a copy function in IPS and extending the clone function in Wealthsolver to clone proposed portfolios within the same 'proposal'.

At this stage, we don’t currently have plans or a confirmed enhancement for cloning proposed portfolios within the same proposal or an equivalent copy function in IPS. However, we’ve noted your feedback and recognise the potential value this functionality could provide. We’ll take this into consideration as we continue to review and prioritise future enhancements to the platform.
Appreciate you sharing this suggestion, as customer feedback plays an important role in helping shape our product roadmap.

Hi Carolyn, thanks for your questions. I’ve answered each separately below:

The AI capabilities featured in the roadmap are currently in development, and we are still finalising the pricing model. Once the pricing structure is confirmed, we’ll ensure it is aligned to the tangible value and ROI these capabilities deliver.

The initial build is based around an uploaded transcript, either manually uploaded by a user from their source of choice, or imported via MS Teams as the first targeted integration.

From there we'll look to Zoom/Google Meets as potential integrations and/or bringing other tools into the mix, like a mobile app a user could take into the meeting to record and create the transcript.

Would love to hear how you operate in this area and what would help make this feature more valuable?

XBI at its core is about helping users and business get insights on their clients, and approaches that by exposing a subset of the underlying data with a BI tool layered on top allowing users to build their own dashboards and views of those datasets

As we explored further into the pilot user feedback, it highlighted two primary objectives beyond just seeing the insights. First was looking for data points to highlight risks, opportunities and workflow status, secondary benefit to general business health metrics and insights, e.g. FUM per client, revenue pipelines etc (note they are not exclusive but were the primary learnings from the pilot groups). It also highlighted challenges in users needing to learn how to use a BI tool to extract that value.

The new workspace leans more into that first objective initially. If the outcome of having a dashboard of risks/opportunities was to do something with that information, then helping users get to that point would provide additional value more simply, without the end user needing to build their own dashboards off the data.

This is guiding the risk/opportunities section of the workspace - where are the activities that are slipping through the cracks, where are the clients that are due for review etc, and then connecting that with the most likely next step, be it triggering the review process, contacting the client etc.

The business insights element is something we're also looking at (although not part of this initial phase).

Hi Carolyn, the Outlook Plugin V1 is distributed as an MSI installer. While it is technically possible to package it as an EXE, there are currently no immediate plans to make that change. Version 2 is not an MSI-based installer; it is a web-based solution. For this reason, we recommend installing V2 instead of V1.
