Did you know we’ve updated the system defaults for super contribution indexation in Xtools+ to better reflect how most of you actually model strategies?
Why?
Previously, the system defaulted to "Salary Inflation" for Concessional and Non-Concessional contributions. We heard that most of you were manually changing this to 0% anyway, so we’ve made 0% the new standard. It's a small change, but it cuts out a repetitive manual task every time you start a new scenario.
How?
When you enter a regular contribution in the Accounts tab, you’ll notice the indexation field now defaults to 0%. If you still want to use salary inflation or a custom rate, you can obviously still change it, but for the majority of "flat" contribution strategies, you won't need to touch it.

💡Pro Tip The Working Cash Account (WCA) default interest rate has also changed to 0% for both Individual and SMSF accounts. If your practice prefers a different baseline, remember you can still override this in your system settings, but the new 0% default prevents accidental over-estimation of cash returns.
Are there any other default settings you find yourself constantly changing manually?
