Did you know you can see your IPS investment recommendations (Buy, Sell, Hold) directly within WealthSolver when you’re building a portfolio?
Why?
If your practice uses the Investment Policy Statement (IPS) to manage an approved product list or model portfolios, navigating back and forth between Research and WealthSolver is a pain. Enabling this setting brings that research intelligence right into the modelling screen. When you're adding an investment, you’ll see the recommendation status next to the option, which helps you stay aligned with your house view in real-time.
How?
- Go to Admin > System Settings > WealthSolver > General.
- Look for the WealthSolver Investment Options panel.
- Ensure your source is set to IPS.
- Tick the box for Show Product recommendations from IPS.
Now, when you go to the Add Investment page in a scenario, those recommendations will be visible.
đź’ˇPro Tip
If an investment shows as blank in WealthSolver, it usually means "No Recommendation" was selected in the IPS. This is a great way for Xplan Champions to do a quick "compliance sniff test" on a scenario—if you see a lot of blanks or "Sells" in a proposed plan, you know the strategy might need a second look before it goes to the adviser.
