Did you know you can now use Advanced Search to find clients holding a specific SMA instrument?
You asked, and we delivered! You can now perform a client search using Advanced Search’s Non Zero Holdings by Exchange/Code for SMA instrument.Â
Advisers and paraplanners told us they wanted to easily be able to identify every client invested in a particular SMA instrument. Previously, searching by exchange code didn't always surface these SMA holdings effectively, leading to manual workarounds or running multiple portfolio reports just to get a simple list of names.
This update means you can now target your client communications or review lists with much more precision.
Simply navigate to the Client Search screen and select Advanced Search. In the search criteria, use Portfolio > Non Zero Holdings by Exchange/Code. Enter the specific code for the SMA instrument you are looking for.Â
Xplan will now include SMA instruments in the results, alongside direct equities and managed funds.
Pro Tip This is particularly useful for bulk digital engagement. Once you have your search results, you can use the "Email all" or "Add note to all" functions to update your clients about specific SMA changes in one go. It keeps your data clean and ensures no one is missed when a model portfolio is updated.
