Overview

The Essentials team have released some new product fields specifically around recording negative target markets as part of a response to the Consumer Duty legislation. These are added to the following Essentials sites in the UK region (please check the URL of your Xplan site in your browser if you are unsure whether this applies to you):

• Xplancentral
• Xplancentral1
• Xplancentral2
• Xplancentral3
• ThreeSixty

Features

Client Focus

The following areas of Xplan have been updated to include the three new product fields for recording negative target markets. These fields include:

• Is the client within the Proposition Target Market?
• Reason for Negative Target Market
• Notes for Negative Target Market

These fields will be editable under the Client details > Client Segmentation / At a Glance > Quick Reference > Client details area depending on your site.

New business events

So that these details can be recorded for new business events, the Is client within the Target Market for product field has been made visible under the product information tab within new business events

This field has also been added to the existing standard New Business Xport.

Target market Xport

In line with the new product fields that have been introduced, we have also created a standard Xport of this data to include the following fields:

• Entity ID
• Entity name
• Is the client within the Proposition Target Market?
• Reason for Negative Target Market
• Notes for Negative Target Market

This Xport can be found under Admin > Integration > Xports.
