ISA Contribution Report available 3rd February 2023

 Overview:  

The Essentials team has created an ISA Contribution Report which will be added to the following managed sites in the UK region from 3rd February 2023:

• xplancentral
• xplancentral1
• xplancentral2
• xplancentral3
• threesixty

Please check the URL of your Xplan site in your browser if you are unsure whether this applies to you.

If you manage your own site, ie. not included above, please contact your Account Manager to discuss deployment of the Advanced Search and Xmerge template.

 Features

The ISA Contribution Report includes an Advanced Search and an Xmerge template (attached to this article below) to generate the results in an excel spreadsheet.

The new ISA Contributions Report will:

• give you the flexibility to set the time period
• generate the the value of contributions made in the specified time period eg. tax year, calendar year.
• help you identify the clients that have not yet maximised their annual ISA contribution allowance for a tax year  

Advanced Search

The Advanced Search, 'ISA Contributions Report search', will identify all clients that have any of the following ISA types with a status of ‘Existing’:

• Cash ISA
• Direct ISA
• Junior ISA
• Stocks and Shares ISA

The search includes the ‘Is Master’ filter, ensuring there is only one row per ISA whether it is is owned by the Client or Partner.

When running the advanced search, use the filter options to include only those client types and status that you want to include in your report.

Xmerge template

NB The template itself is attached to the bottom of this article.

The Xmerge, 'ISA contributions report', is generated in bulk against the results of the above search.

Set the variables, the start and end dates, for the specific time period you wish to search on. 

In this example we are running for 2022/23 tax year:

 The results will be generated in a CSV output as follows:

The Entity Name and Entity ID will display the Client data but the Asset Owner will display the Client or Partner details to identify where the ISA is owned by the partner rather than the client.
