Find out more about Xplan's menu and pages improvements

In our recent communication we sent on 2 November, we highlighted the improvements we are making to the menu on your Xplan site. This change is taking place on the weekend 18 November.

As a quick refresher, here is a summary of what we will be doing:

  • Simplifying the menu to help with navigation.
  • Renaming some pages to make it easier to find commonly used screens.
  • Making the layout consistent with the training material on the Iress Learning Centre (ILC).

The sites that will benefit from the refresh are:

  • ThreeSixty
  • XplanCentral
  • XplanCentral1
  • XplanCentral2

If you’re on XplanCentral3, you will already have access to the changes.  Future changes like this will be made to all sites at the same, or a similar time.

What's changing?

To simplify and enhance your experience, here are some of the key improvements being made to make Xplan easier to use.

PS you can also see a short video explaining these changes on the Iress Learning Centre.

Client Hub - This heavily used section is being moved from “At a Glance” to a new “Client Details” section.

As a reminder, this page allows you to view key client information in one place and allows to quickly and easily:

  • Add notes and tasks
  • Send emails
  • View and manage active workflows
  • View and manage client activity
  • View review details

Tasks and Threads - We know how powerful Xplan’s workflow capabilities can be in bringing consistency and predictability  to your processes. Workflow & Tasks will be moving into its own menu, so that it’s easier to find.

Notes - One of the most important parts of a client record is the notes and documentation recorded throughout a relationship. To make this easier to locate, we will be moving this to its own section of the menu on a page simply called “Notes.”

Client details - We understand that a number of key client fields were found across “At a glance” or “Key details”. We have brought all of these together  under the “Client details” section. This is broken into logical areas making it easier to find specific information. Some key areas changing are as follows:

  • Client details and ownership - Client details and client ownership will move to Client details > Main and Client details > Client segmentation respectively.

  • Family Tree and Mindmap - From our analysis, we know that these sections of Xplan were rarely used and so we’ll be removing them.
  • Consent - Recording client consent details originally was found under At a glance > Quick reference. This will be moved to Client details > Contact and communication.

  • Net Position - The screen that holds all of your clients plans and policy information originally was found under At a glance > Net position.  As this is part of a client’s financial position, it will move to a more logical location under ”Financial details.”

  • Servicing - Many of the back office functions will be moved into the logical area of Servicing. Previously some of these were either under the “At a glance” menu or "Servicing and administration."

  • Compliance - We will be moving many of the compliance functions into their own section to help simplify the navigation. This includes identification records, customer due diligence complaints and audit trail.

Please note that although data may have moved to a new location, we can assure you that no data will be lost during this process. Should there be anything that you cannot locate, we will be providing support material to help with this transition (see the link at the end of this section).

What do I need to do?

To help make this move as smooth as possible, we recommend that you review the material we have produced, this includes:
