What is changing?
In order to align with some product changes in Client Portal, we need to make a small change to the options available in the Factfind Type field on your Xplan site.
Currently, the options available include "Onboarding" and "Detailed" which were introduced as default values when the field was first created.
Following the Client Portal product changes, we now need to ensure that only one value is available in that field, and remove the two obsolete values.
We'll be undertaking the following work: -
- For all clients with an existing Client Portal / client access account, we will be updating their Factfind Type to "Full onboarding".
- We will then be removing the options of "Onboarding" and "Detailed" as, on your managed site, they will no longer be relevant.
When is it changing?
We will apply the changes on 27 September 2023.
What action do I need to take?
We have already ensured that, if you have requested your own fact find journey is customised, it will continue to work as expected with the new value of "Full onboarding".

It will be essential that, when you invite your clients to complete their fact find via Client Portal, that you always select the new value of "Full onboarding" and don't leave it blank.

If it is left blank, then any customisations you have requested (e.g. email template notifications, field label changes, hidden fields etc) won't be supported.
