This simple case, comprised of just 3 tasks, takes a high level view of the steps required for any process.
For smaller firms with experienced staff you may not wish to have tasks for each step of the process. Instead this case concentrates on 3 stages:
The linear tasks are set up as follows:
|
Category |
General |
|
Assigned to |
Client adviser |
|
Activated |
On completion of previous task |
|
Due date |
5 business days |
1. Make a copy of the case template and rename as required. (refer to 'Make a copy workflow' link).
2. Ensure the newly created template is shared with the relevant groups.
3. Add the new case template to a client, Save and Activate.
4. Completing task 1 will activate task 2.
5. Completing task 2 will activate task 3.
6. There are no additional outcomes.
5. On completion of task 3 the case will be terminated and a pop-up message is displayed on-screen.
When adding or deleting a a task from a workflow, you need to check the 'Complete When' option.
Has adding or deleting a task changed the options available for the end of the workflow?
Are any tasks dependant on a previous task? Eg. Task 3 is activated when Task 2 is complete.
If deleting a task with an outcome, have you added the outcome to one of the remaining tasks?
