Overview
The Essentials team will be releasing two items to support you when communicating in bulk with your clients:
- a new Xmerge template for generating bulk letters, ‘Scalable Solutions bulk letter template v23.10.docx’
- a new Xport to help you check the quality of your client contact details, ‘Bulk letter data’
The above artefacts will be added to the following managed sites in the UK region (please check the URL of your Xplan site in your browser if you are unsure whether this applies to you):

- xplancentral2
- Xplancentral3 - Plus users only
- Threesixty
| Important note - the intention is that this solution can be used for simple letters you want to generate in bulk. We aren't able to offer extensive support on Xmerge coding as part of this. There are, however, lots of resources on the Community - which we'll publish links to on 31st October - which can help. If you need bespoke Xmerge coding support, please speak to your Account Manager who can facilitate getting you some help. |
User guide
The bulk letter template will provide a simple and efficient way to communicate in bulk with your clients. The letter template has been coded to top and tail your letter so all you need do is insert the text into the body of the letter.
The template includes the syntax for the following fields:
- Logo on first page
- Sender address
- Address title
- Client preferred address
- Date
- Salutation
- Sign off from adviser / Sign off from user
- Footer on first page
- Label to identify the output per entity
The Xport includes all the fields relevant to the new letter template to ensure you have good quality client data before generating the bulk letters.
