The demand for better product clarity

We are pleased to announce that following adviser feedback and our bid to support consumer duty, enhancements have been made to the Whole of Life service to highlight information that you told us would provide better product clarity; how providers quote on smokers and ex-smokers.

Iress regularly receives feedback from advisers that access to more information around smoking related pricing would be useful at the initial quote stage. To deliver greater clarity around stances on this, smoker notes from the providers have now been added to the input screens for the Whole of Life service

Let us introduce you

Smoker notes were previously added to our Term and Income Protection services and are now also available on the Whole of Life service as well.

Smoker notes can provide a better understanding on how providers class smokers and ex-smokers, how they treat nicotine replacement products, and how they quote today if someone answers no to the smoker question.

We will show you how to access Smoker notes for all providers on the Whole of Life service both on the input screen and the result screen in the next section.
